Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. SF, CA

This position will assist members of the trading, portfolio management, and investment research teams in identifying relevant data, aggregating and parsing data, creating/managing reports and increasing efficiencies across the investment teams. The role includes operational support for the investment teams, as well as trading and market analysis across various sectors of the fixed income market, including government, corporate and securitized bonds.

Responsibilities

  • Research and Analysis - Conduct in-depth analysis of fixed income markets, including interest rates, credit spreads, economic data and macro factors. Communicate market insights and relative value opportunities to the investment teams. Stay informed of economic indicators and geopolitical events affecting fixed income markets. Assist with security type analysis.
  • Operational Support - Assist in troubleshooting middle office and operational issues from a trading perspective including, but not limited to dealer know your client (KYC) requests, trade fails, and settlement monitoring. Assists in counterparty onboarding, which includes identifying and initiating new trading relationships.
  • Bond Trading - Execute trades (both buying and selling) for individual client portfolios. Utilize market intelligence to monitor trends in the fixed income sector while providing recommendations to investment strategy based on market analysis. Manage trade execution across various trading platforms as well as security selection for individual client portfolios.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Investment and market knowledge OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Investment and market knowledge

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Area of Study: Finance, Mathematics or Economics Preferred Area of Experience: Trading and risk management:

Preferred Skills:

  • Effectively manage and coordinate multiple activities
  • Knowledge of fixed income markets
  • Risk management and compliance awareness
  • Trading and risk system proficiency: Bloomberg, MarketAxess and Aladdin
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

The base pay for this position is generally between $101,000.00 and $160,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
