Job Description
The Production Supervisor works closely with facility management to ensure production goals are met across assigned departments .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead personnel in receiving and processing materials.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment/machinery repairs.
- Review production and quality reports to plan or adjust activities.
- Ensure staff wear PPE and follow safety guidelines.
- Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and production materials.
- Notify EH&S of safety concerns, PPE defects, or equipment issues.
- Train and supervise team members in assigned job duties.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Achieve labor, overhead, and material cost targets.
- Coordinate work schedules based on demand.
- Monitor departmental operating costs and report findings.
- Review and approve team timecards.
- Conduct ongoing training and refresher sessions on policies/procedures.
- Assist with end-of-month inventory counts.
- Support security and loss prevention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance checklists are completed and reported.
- Promote housekeeping, safety, and cleanliness.
- Recommend efficiency and process improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- 2–4 years of relevant work experience (preferred)
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Organized, professional, and positive attitude
