Position Overview

As a Warehouse Athlete, you will perform the duties including but not limited to safely selecting, operating a forklift and perform other duties as assigned. You will work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment.

• Earn $24.00 per hour
• Shift: 1st shift

You will contribute by:

• Selection duties will include but are not limited to:Utilize Order Picker to pick products to fill customer orders or brings down pallets of reserve stock to replenish pick slots.Manually pick cases of product from warehouse racks to fill customer orders. building pallets of products picked to fill the orders.Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to production, quality and safety standardsFit products on a pallet; insuring heavy products on bottom to reduce damage, plastic wrapping them, and loading them onto a trailer.
• Forklift operation duties include but are not limited to:Transport merchandise from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper location in the warehouse.Maintain the proper replenishment in the computer, using a handheld device, when the pallet is put back in the rack.Move/slot finished product from production to designated storage area and pull finished product from storage and load on trailers.Stack cases and rotate merchandise. Refill benches and fill pallet slots.
• Loader operation duties include but are not limited to:Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers and ensure damage is avoided.Operate forklift and pallet jack.Inspect trailer for damage before loading.Utilize RF handhelds and/or voice to verify loading of pallets.Wrap pallet and stretch wrap.
• Safely Operate all forms of equipment including but not limited to:Operate electric pallet jack to remove case(s) of product from storage rack and place on pallet and stick selection labels to the appropriate cases (not in all cases).Recording daily actions by use of Voice-command, pick sheets and Power-warehouse.Maneuver stand-up forklift to put away or let down as many as twenty pallets per hour into warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.Safely and properly operate the battery hoist and change battery, if necessary.

Your work environment may include:

• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
• Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
• Warehouse : Freezer (-20F to 0F)

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Specialized Knowledge : MHE/ Forklift Certification. Ability to operate stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker or other required materials handling equipment (MHE). Ability to operate battery hoist Compliance with all company policies and procedures.

• Physical abilities: : Sometimes crawling, sitting, occasionally climbing up to 4 ft. (Must have fall protection training and using proper fall protection equipment). Occasionally balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling and crawling. Frequently handling, fingering, talking smelling, reaching (level: Waist/overhead, etc.). Occasionally gripping, carrying, pivoting, pushing, lifting, pulling up to 60 Lbs. Occasionally standing and walking on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. Continuously sitting, hearing, seeing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.

Years Of Experience

• 0-2 : Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
