We specialize in providing high-quality construction services to a diverse range of clients. As part of our growth strategy, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete/Asphalt Superintendent to join our dynamic Parking Lot Services Group.
Overview
The Asphalt/Concrete Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of concrete and asphalt construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing concrete and/or asphalt crews, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring the successful execution of all on-site work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the on-site execution of concrete and/or asphalt construction projects, ensuring work is completed according to specifications, schedule, and within budget.
- Supervise concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes to meet project standards and quality expectations.
- Supervise and manage asphalt crews, ensuring optimal performance, productivity, and adherence to safety standards.
- Provide training and development to crew members to enhance skills and performance.
- Monitor production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, and work to optimize operations for cost efficiency.
- Ensure that all concrete and asphalt work meets the highest standards of quality and complies with project specifications.
- Promote and enforce safety standards on all job sites, ensuring that OSHA regulations and company safety policies are followed.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the field crew, project manager, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during construction, including delays, equipment failures, or design changes.
- Monitor material inventory and ensure that all required supplies are on-site as needed.

- 4-5 years of experience in asphalt and/or concrete construction
- 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of concrete processes, including formwork, reinforcement, placement, and finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving methods, equipment, materials, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Understanding grades and ADA compliance.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of workers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead, train, and resolve conflicts on-site.

- Proficiency in MS Office
- Fluent in Spanish (Preferred)
