AWS/CES is looking for an Industrial Electrician

Location: Warren, MI

Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour

Shift: all shifts available

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment using safe electrical techniques, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform mechanical work as needed to complete assigned tasks and ensure work areas are left clean and safe.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and prioritize work to minimize downtime.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance uptime and extend equipment life.
• Complete wiring projects and new installations per electrical documentation and line-ups.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder diagrams; gather materials and complete wiring installations with minimal supervision.
• Update prints and schematics, suggest spare parts, and assist with continuous improvement activities.
• Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and government regulations related to powered equipment and electrical work.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervision or management.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience:
• Electrical Journeyman’s license or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems .
• Skilled in reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic instruments (AC/DC, low/high voltage).
• Experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, and electrical codes and safety practices.

Additional Information:

Preference will be given to candidates who are open to working either 1st or 3rd shift .
