AGD has invested in the most advanced fabrication technology and has become the leader in the Austin area specializing in high-end, complex residential and commercial projects. AGD carries a large variety of premium natural and quartz inventory materials.

We are seeking a motivated and creative service oriented Sales and Design Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role you would be responsible for applying business knowledge and design and sales expertise.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization with responsibilities related to ensuring our customers view Austin Granite Direct as their preferred resource for residential stone, porcelain, and quartz applications. This role requires teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, business understanding, communication, and superb organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients in the showroom and guide them through material selections for countertops and other surfaces
  • Understand client design goals and provide tailored recommendations based on drawings, template measurements, and project scope
  • Educate clients on the benefits, features, and maintenance of natural and engineered surfaces (e.g., natural stone, quartz, porcelain)
  • Prepare and present accurate estimates and proposals based on measurements and client preferences
  • Serve as the primary point of contact from initial consultation through final installation, ensuring a seamless and responsive customer experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with designers, builders, contractors and vendors to support sales and project success.Collaborate with clients to assess their design needs and preferences
  • Manage client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships
  • Maintain and analyze product demand and customer metrics
  • Lead presentations and communicate design concepts
  • Review and approve shop drawings, customer specifications, sales orders, work orders and material selections before production
  • Maintain organized records of client interactions and project progress
  • Coordinate internally with operations manager, production coordinator, purchasing manager, and installation scheduler as it relates to project planning, progress, and completion
  • Ability to utilize complex ERP software to initiate and submit production Work Orders and Assemblies
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new products to provide informed recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a design or retail environment (2+ years)
  • Proven experience in project management (1+ years)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Design/CAD software for creating design layouts
  • Ability to read construction architectural plans / elevations
  • Background in outside sales or account management is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients.
  • Interior Design degree preferred
  • Experience or exposure to Stone Industry preferred
  • Experience in advanced ERP and CRM software preferred

Pay: $67,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
