Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Healthcare Business Analyst who is currently living in Texas.

This is an Austin Hybrid position and will be required to come into the office for team meetings and other meetings as directed by the agency leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a proven track record of translating healthcare processes and requirements into effective IT solutions and documentation. This role will require effectively bridging the gap between clinical departments, administrative units, and IT teams.

The right candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities across various departments. They should have information systems and healthcare experience, strong technical writing abilities, and proficiency with healthcare-specific modeling and mapping tools.

Job Description:

Requirements:

  • Must have experience with Information systems and healthcare experience, strong technical writing abilities, and proficiency with healthcare-specific modeling and mapping tools.
  • Require to have effectively bridged the gap between clinical departments, administrative units, and IT teams.
  • Ability to work on complex business problems, analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvements.
  • Work closely with end users to develop a detailed understanding of user IT needs and define requirements for new or improved systems.
  • Conduct requirements gathering meetings. Document meeting minutes and drive closure of action items.
  • Experience visualizing, diagramming, and explaining As-Is and To-Be business process flows.
  • Consults with technical or functional experts at all levels to obtain requirements and develop solution proposals.
  • Function as liaison between the Business units, the IT department, the vendor, and/or the user community.
  • Provides project and business-level analysis and can get hands-on with producing required project analysis documentation.
  • Coordinates, analyzes, and interprets internal and external client system requirements, workflows, and data.
  • Develops process flows, workflows, data flows, processes, and technical documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years demonstrated, hands-on experience in business analysis in the technology industry, including preparing business analysis and project documents.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a consultative role to understand functional business processes, related IT needs and to develop solutions and delivery proposals.
  • Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong process requirements and technical writing skills.
  • Proficient with modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio).
  • Strong facilitation skills, including leading meetings, presentation skills, and problem resolution/mediation.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible enough to work through the issues to get the right things done.
  • Understands communication channels and escalates appropriately.
